1 se détourner, s’écarter, s’éloigner : ἐκ ποταμοῖο, Od. 5, 462, pour se retirer du fleuve ; ἀπὸ πυρκαϊῆς ἑτέρωσε λ. Il. 23, 231, s’éloigner du bûcher dans une autre direction ; ἀμφὶ δ’ ἄρα σφι λιάζετο κῦμα, Il. 24, 96, le flot se retirait autour d’elles ; πρός τινα, Eur. Hec. 100, s’esquiver pour venir près de qqn ; λιάσθη ἐς πνοιὰς ἀνέμων, Od. 4, 838, (la vision) s’évanouit au souffle des vents ||

I.73 ff.; Hesych. erkl. ῥίπτειν, ταράσσειν ; – im Gebrauch war nur λιάζομαι, ἐλιάσθην, seitwärts ausweichen, weggehen, gew. von Menschen, ἑτάρων ἄφαρ ἕζετο νόσφι λιασθείς, Il. 1.349 u. öfter, beim Angriff, 15.520, 21.255, ἐκ ποταμοῖο, ἀπὸ πυρκαϊῆς, aus dem Strom entrinnend, vom Scheiterhaufen weggehend, Od. 5.462, Il. 23.231, δεῦρο λιάσθης, hierher entwichst du, 22.12.
