ὑπορρίπτω,
- throw down or under, ὑ. τινὰ τοῖς θηρίοις throw him to the wild beasts, Plu. Eum. 17; πικροῖς δεσπόταις ὑ. ἑαυτούς Ph. 1.376; so ὑπορριπτέω, App. Mith. 38; πᾶν γένος δελέατος ὑπερρίπτει prob. cj. in Plb. 29.8.3.
