Exsuperantius
a Roman historian, with regard to whom we possess no information, but who, from the character of his style, is believed to have flourished in the fifth or sixth century. Works De Marü, Lepidi, ac Sertorii bellis civilibus
Under his name we have a short tract, entitled De Marü, Lepidi, ac Sertorii bellis civilibus, which many suppose to have been abridged from the Histories of Sallust. Editions
It will be found appended to the editions of Sallust by Wasse, Cantab. 4to. 1710; by Corte, Lips. 4to. 1724; by Havercamp, Amstel. 4to. 1742; and by Gerlach, Basil. 4to. 1823. Further Information

A Roman historian of the fourth or fifth century A.D., who wrote a monograph De Marii, Lepidi, ac Sertorii Bellis Civilibus, preserved in a MS. of Sallust at Paris and dating from the eleventh century. The treatise is largely drawn from the Iugurtha and Historiae, and contains a number of absurd historical errors, such as confounding the elder with the younger Marius. It was last edited by Bursian (Zürich, 1868).
