Rusadir

RUSADIR (Plin. v. l; Ῥυσσάδειρον, Ptol. 4.1.7; Russader, Itin. Ant.), a colonia of Mauretania, situated near Metagonites Prom., which appears sometimes to have been called from the town Rusadir (Ptol. 4.1.12). It is represented by the baráderoo f Melilla, or Spanish penal fortress, on the bight formed between C. Tres Forcas and the Mlûia.
