θολία, ἡ, eine kuppelförmig geflochtene Kopfbedeckung der Frauen, zum Schutze gegen die Sonnenstrahlen, Sonnenhut, Theocr. 15.39 ; ᾧ ἀντὶ σκιαδίου ἐχρῶντο αἱ γυναῖκες Poll. 7.174 ; VLL Nach Poll. 10.138 auch κίστη ἔχουσα θολοειδὲς τὸ πῶμα.
