The place where a river flows into the sea, its mouth : ἐπὶ προχοῇσι ποταμοῖο Il. 17.263. Cf. Od. 5.453, Od. 11.242.

In reference to Ocean, app., its stream : ἐν προχοῇς Ὠκεανοῖο Od. 20.65.
