συγχέω: Hom. uses pres. and impf. Act. and 2 sg. aor. σύγχεᾰς Il. 15.366, but more freq. Ep. aor. συνέχευα, inf. συγχεῦαι, aor. Pass. σύγχῠτο:—aor. Pass. -εχύθην [ῠ], for which -εχέθην is f.l. in Apollod. 1.7.2, Luc. DMar. 9.2:—

• pour together, commingle, confound, συνέχευε ποσὶν καὶ χερσὶν [τὰ ἀθύρματα] Il. 15.364; τὰ διακεκριμένα Pl. Phlb. 46e; ἄνω κάτω τὰ πάντα σ. ὁμοῦ E. συγχέω, (χέω), zusammengießen, -schütten, vermengen, verwirren, in Unordnung bringen ; ἂψ αὖτις συνέχευε ποσὶν καὶ χερσίν, was er gebaut hat, Il. 15.364, worauf 366 folgt ὥς ῥα σύ, ἤϊε Φοῖβε, πολὺν κάματον σύγχεας Ἀργείων, nicht bloß den Wall zerstören, sondern allgemein die Mühe vereiteln, wie βίαν καὶ ἰούς, erfolglos machen, ib. 573 ; τοὺς τάφους, τὴν ὁδόν, Her. 4.127, 7.11.5 ; μή μοι σύγχει θυμὸν ὀδυρόμενος καὶ ἀχεύων, Il. 9.612, 13.808, wie ἄνδρα Od. 8.139, niederschlagen, mutlos machen ; und so pass., σὺν δὲ γέροντι νόος χύτο, Il. 24.358 ; vgl.
